Ok i went to EB Games 2day to preorder factions and to get the pre order package, well EB games doesn't have the thing yet, so now i gotta wait however long it takes them to get it in, even though they're on the list of people to get the package from TODAY on the guild wars website! So now i gotta make a special trip to go to eb games and get the package

this isn't the first time, with guild wars i preordered the game and never did get a beta access key or anything for that matter, said they ran out and that they'd get some more in shortly, never got any more in

Mayb its just my EB games thats slack

I do not like EB games, they have done this alot in the past, ordered collection edition
UT2004, and paid for it and never got it, sent me the regular one and never got
re-imbursed, I would never buy anything from them again, and they used the same
lame excuse, we ran out, then don't take the freakin orders.

i went there one time and had alot of $1 bills and they wouldn't accept them

"there isn't enough room in the register" i said ok fine

went down the road to rhinos video games and bought there instead, they treat u better there

It's not just EB Games. I went to Best Buy today (which is also on the GW site) and they didn't have it either.

There is still probably 2 months til Factions is released, plenty of time to get your pre-order.

Only those without an account need to worry about getting a pre-order before the March 24th event. And if they don't you can give them one of your 3 invites. ^.^

Thats not the point. We were told we could get the preorder box starting today and it's not happining.

My local BestBuy hasn't even heard of it and CompUSA asked me if it was a computer game.

Thats probably because they SHIP today meaning they wont be available till late tonight or tomorrow. I find this to be the case with games that i have ordered.

You don't get the game a month early, you just preorder the "Preorder Package"
That's the only way you will get the preorder item with it too. That's one of those items that only you can use and cannot trade it or show it to anyone.

And I was always sceptical about EB......I was going to preorder my copy from there though but I'll have to think about it. I'll probably go with Best Buy.

Went to EB Games today. Didn't have it...They even asked if it was a PS2 game.

Pre-ordered it..asked about the package and he said they hadn't heard about a "package" and it might be April before anything like that comes in.

i think that if gw.com said that the preorder package would be in retail stores today then it should be in stores today and if thats not the case then they need to change the press release, i want the preorder package for the new game guide and the items you get, i don't care if i can't play it right now, i just want to have everything ready and do some reading on the new areas before it starts so i know what i'm doing and where i'm going.

No, that is the point, chillout, wait for the stores to put them on the shelves. I swear, some people look for things to complain about.

so then if we order it online, we'll get the preorder package, whenever htat comes out, shipped to us...and then late april the actual game will be shipped? what am i missing here, something doesn't seem right

EB as a reseller is really bad. If you think the US has it hard, feel sorry for those in Australia where EB is the "exclusive" GW reseller.

When EB first set up shop here I thought, wow, finally a dedicated chain of PC game stores. I was quickly disenchanted. They assume everyone who knows what an electoric game is is 15-25, male, plays FPS exclusively, and their console of choice is PS(2).

No the preorder package just means that when the game is released in late april, you will get special items and other things along with the game. You will (or should) get a BETA key before that though. That's probably the only thing you get before you get the game.

Best Buy actually never has the 'best buy'.

EB Games is not a very good place to go and buy games.

its not that i didn't get it yet, its that they said that we'd get them TODAY! I mean is it that much to ask for them to do what they say that they're going to do, i mean if it wasn't for another week they were being released that would've been fine cuz they released wen they said they were!

Where exactly does it say we would get or be able to order a pre-order package today? I see the preorder available but that doesn't mean they have the box assembled yet.
